Volkswagen Golf (2012–2018) Camera Add-On Interface – Factory Head Unit Integration
The CAIVW3 camera add-on interface enables the installation of an aftermarket reverse camera while retaining the original factory head unit in Volkswagen Golf models from 2012 to 2018. It is compatible with MIB / MIB STD2 systems, including Composition Media, Discover Media, and Discover Pro, when equipped with factory OPS (Optical Parking System).
Designed specifically for vehicles without a factory camera input, this interface provides a seamless integration solution without the need to replace the original infotainment system.
Once installed, the camera image will display automatically when the reverse gear is engaged, and can also be accessed manually via the vehicle’s controls.
